Value Your Human Resource

In a business world, resource is important. But what is value the most is human resource. Sadly, some company does not value this and saw the resource fade away. What you should do as a good leader is understanding them as a human-being.

What You Should Care?

I had an experience as an expat in Asia for few years. The people here are so nice that you can sense for their truly care. When your subordinate calling for a sick leave, some might responded “Another?” or so. But here they responded “Take care of yourself, don’t worry about the work for now.”

There is some argument that if you allow an easy leave, your subordinate will often get sick. That’s depend on how they are. But most of educated person will be shame of and will stop pretending to be sick in the end.

Change Your Mindset

Result may be the first thing we often focus. But it can’t explain the whole picture. Imagine 2 very good chess players that always win against their opponent. The first one always win no matter how hard it is. But king is the only thing remaining on board. While the other player also win against their opponent but with only few pieces loss. That’s how the difference are made.You may continue to focus on the result. But please take a notice on other factors. We are all human being and we made mistakes. Your subordinate WILL make mistakes. That’s the reasons they still below you for now. Improving them and you can expecting a result some time later.
